Services

Fetal ultrasound

Pregnancy Monitoring

Regular ultrasound monitoring of pregnancy ensures the normal development of the fetus and the health of the mother. In our department, we offer specialized prenatal screening for early detection of possible complications and guidance of women at every stage of pregnancy.

Fetal Development Monitoring

Ultrasound monitoring of fetal development allows the assessment of weight, organ development and blood flow to the placenta. Using modern imaging techniques, we monitor the progress of the pregnancy and intervene in cases of delayed fetal development in a timely manner.

Level B ultrasound

A level B ultrasound is a detailed antenatal examination performed between 20 and 24 weeks of pregnancy. It allows the assessment of the fetal anatomy, checking for possible congenital anomalies and proper organ development, providing valuable information about the course of the pregnancy.

Frequently asked questions

A level B ultrasound is performed between the 20th and 24th week and evaluates the fetal anatomy in detail, identifying possible congenital anomalies. It provides important information about the development of the baby and the smooth progression of the pregnancy.

The sex of the baby can be determined fairly accurately from the 16th-18th week of pregnancy by ultrasound. However, confirmation is usually made at the B-level ultrasound.

Yes, prenatal ultrasound scans, especially level B ultrasound, can detect possible anatomical abnormalities. In case of findings, additional diagnostic tests such as amniocentesis or genetic testing may be needed.

If the fetus has a lower or higher than average weight, it may be related to factors such as heredity, the mother’s diet or medical conditions such as gestational diabetes. In these cases, more frequent monitoring and additional tests may be necessary.

In case of suspicious findings, the doctor will recommend further specialised tests or a repeat ultrasound. The counselling approach includes full information for parents and an individualised follow-up or treatment plan.
